The Cortland Review considers poetry, translations, and book reviews. Send us your best work!

We consider poems from September 15 – November 15.

We accept simultaneous submissions, but kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible when you have placed submitted work elsewhere. Please don’t “withdraw” the submission unless you plan to withdraw the entire submission; for single poem withdrawals, just send us a message attached to your submission.

Submit up to 5 poems at a time. We strongly recommend including 5 poems, which gives us more to choose from.

Please do not put poem titles in all-caps. Left-justify all poems (do not center poems) and use a 12 point font. 

All submissions must be previously unpublished.

Please use Submittable to query first before submitting a book review.

The Cortland Review does its best respond to all submissions within 3-4 months.
